Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of management consulting and information technology services for the healthcare industry and a MEDITECH READY certified consultant, announced today that it has been chosen by Lawrence General Hospital, in Lawrence, MA, as their MEDITECH Expanse implementation partner.

“Making a decision about the electronic record that is the foundation for clinical and non-clinical operation of the hospital takes a monumental effort and requires expert partners for a successful transition. Teams at Lawrence General spent months reviewing proposals for both the software products and the integration support,” said Felix Mercado, Chief Financial Officer at Lawrence General Hospital. “We are pleased to have successfully completed the process. We are very satisfied with our choice of electronic medical record product and looking forward to the transition process with our integration partner.”

Santa Rosa has been providing MEDITECH services for over 30 years and has earned a glowing reputation for providing clients with superior resources and exceptional value. As the recognized leader in MEDITECH early adopter implementation, Santa Rosa has a 100% success rate in more than 70 MEDITECH implementations including all MEDITECH platforms (6.1, 6.0, Client Server and Magic) with full implementation support as well as project management, subject matter specialists, IT staffing and interim leadership. Santa Rosa also offers services that other READY partners cannot, such as an activation adoption team, analytics migration program, and transition management program to protect revenue cycle results.

“We are honored to be working with Lawrence General to implement MEDITECH Expanse to help bring their EHR vision to life by providing them cost-effective solutions and the most experienced team in the industry,” said Mark Scruggs, Executive Vice President of Santa Rosa Consulting. “In partnership with MEDITECH, we’ve achieved outstanding results for our clients which have resulted in higher quality care, greater efficiencies and lower costs for our partners.”

Lawrence General, a 189 bed, non-profit, multi-specialty regional health system with nearly 600 physicians, kicked off the MEDITECH Expanse implementation in both the acute and ambulatory space in February 2018 with plans to go live in the spring of 2019. The health system’s goal is to migrate from the McKesson Paragon system and have a fully integrated EHR system, especially in the emergency and laboratory departments and to achieve HIMSS Stage 7.
