The Santa Rosa team will support system integration across ambulatory and acute settings.
Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of management consulting and information technology services for the healthcare industry and a MEDITECH READY-certified firm, announced today that it will lead a MEDITECH implementation and upgrade for Signature Healthcare, the premier local provider of quality, personalized medical services in southeastern Massachusetts.
“Signature Healthcare is a long-standing client of ours, who we have successfully supported in managing multiple MEDITECH implementations over the past five years,” said Mike Ragan, president of Santa Rosa Consulting. “We are committed to our partnership and greatly appreciate Signature’s continued confidence in Santa Rosa to support this critical pursuit of a single integrated system across all departments.”
In 2015, Santa Rosa led the MEDITECH 6.1 implementation for Signature Healthcare, Brockton Hospital and will now support the upgrade to MEDITECH Expanse. Additionally, Santa Rosa recently provided vendor selection support for Signature Healthcare and Signature Medical Group, as they evaluated various EHR vendors. Ultimately, Signature selected MEDITECH to establish organization-wide interoperability, and Santa Rosa to lead the implementation for the multi-specialty physician group of more than 150 physicians across 18 ambulatory locations.
“When we decided to implement two significant EHR projects at the same time for our ambulatory and acute practices, we knew we needed to partner with Santa Rosa to get the job accomplished accurately and appropriately,” said Gerald Greeley, chief information officer at Signature Healthcare. “Onboarding all our ambulatory physicians to MEDITECH and upgrading our hospital to the latest version of the system will allow us to streamline information sharing across the organization, so we can ultimately deliver the highest and safest quality of patient care.”
Signature selected Santa Rosa because of the firm’s prior experience and familiarity with the healthcare organization, and strength in driving the necessary change management across workflows, processes, and staff roles. Through this engagement, Santa Rosa will help Signature:
- Seamlessly migrate the hospital from MEDITECH 6.1 to Expanse
- Design and build out the MEDITECH system according to the ambulatory group’s specific needs and workflows
- Train all users via eLearning, in partnership with Sedona Learning Solutions
- Leverage Santa Rosa’s E2E (Elbow to Elbow) Activation Services™ to drive user adoption
“Our decision to partner with Santa Rosa and implement MEDITECH three years ago helped us create a stable business in an increasingly challenging healthcare market,” said Jim Papadakos, CFO of Signature Healthcare. “Getting our entire organization on a single system will be crucial for us to continue improving population health management and realizing financial success under a more at-risk payer model.”
Signature’s MEDITECH 6.1 implementation was built upon LEAN management principles, which are integral to the organization’s culture and business processes. The two new MEDITECH projects will also incorporate LEAN methodologies, with the goals of continuous improvement, waste elimination, and respect for all people.
“We are excited to work with Signature again on another critical MEDITECH implementation and upgrade. We appreciate not only the trust they have placed in us but the value they see in the outcome based services we deliver,” said Mike Reel, vice president and relationship manager at Santa Rosa. “Signature has an exceptional reputation for successfully completing IT implementations and improving care delivery in an underserved, and financially challenged, region and we’re proud to be part of these efforts.”
Signature Healthcare is one of several Massachusetts healthcare providers Santa Rosa has partnered with for MEDITECH implementation services, making the firm one of the top EHR implementation consultants in the state.
