As the largest independent MEDITECH user group, the Medical Users Software Exchange (MUSE) supports healthcare organizations using MEDITECH developed software and technologies.  By providing a user-driven networking environment conducive to learning, ideas are exchanged and information is shared so that our members can continually improve organizational performance.  Each spring, MUSE stages its annual International MUSE Conference, and throughout the year, numerous other educational events are held throughout North America and the United Kingdom.  Over the years, hundreds of dedicated users have given their time to organize conferences, educate their peers, and ensure that their user group continues to grow and prosper.  This year was no exception – the 2010 International MUSE Conference was hosted at the Gaylord Resort in Grapevine Texas, in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and was well attended by MEDITECH users and an excellent selection of vendors.

The event provides face-to-face interaction with our peers at other healthcare organizations, who use the same MEDITECH solutions, along with various other experts and vendors.  It also allowed for valuable learning regarding best practices and tested solutions as presented at many of the Educational Sessions.  There was also a CIO Forum, site visit to a local MEDITECH hospital, and a multi-day forum regarding the latest platform – 6.0.

As a MEDITECH approved vendor for Advanced Clinical services, Santa Rosa Consulting had a prominent showing at the conference.  Our Team was well represented by our Business Unit Partners, Associate Partners, Sales Associates, Senior Consultants and Consultants.  We provided educational sessions on Pharmacy/Ambulatory Medication Build Strategies, Nursing Workflows, and a workshop regarding Clinical Rules & Decision Support Report Writing.

With a strong representation of our Team gathered, we also used the time effectively for internal networking, strategic planning, strengthening existing partnership/vendor relationships, and developing new relationships with aligned vendors.  Our company President and COO, Tom Watford, was present to share his thoughts on Santa Rosa Consulting and meet firsthand the amazing Team in its current state as well as discuss future plans and vision regarding the growth of both our Business Unit and Santa Rosa as a whole.
