Steve Deutchman leads Santa Rosa Consulting’s Epic Practice and is responsible for the recruiting and development of all our Epic resources. Additionally, Steve provides project oversight on all of Santa Rosa’s Epic engagements and works with our clients and team members to ensure objectives are being met and the highest possible quality of work is being delivered. Prior to moving in to his current role, Steve led another firm’s Epic practice for 4 years, building it to over a dozen active engagements and 50+ consultants. Steve has over 19 years of healthcare IT experience and over 30 years experience in operational and project leadership.

Prior to entering the consulting services industry, Steve was responsible for all technology delivery and adoption issues for a major sun belt state health system’s Medical Staff of 3,000+ physicians. His software and project management experience includes Epic Ambulatory, Siemens Invision clinicals, HBOC Pathways Enterprise Scheduling, PeopleSoft ERP and Kronos Time and Attendance. Additionally, Steve has led multiple teams of software developers in delivering custom-built mission critical solutions to meet major hospital systems’ clinical and financial needs.
